Hi Jenny,
Pictures are adorable! So glad that I got to "know" Buddy a little better. He looks like a very sweet little fellow:)! Love your horses. Looks like you have lots of room for them to roam.

You and Tigger are cute too:D:D!

I must admit Marianne that I just saw the album feature and decided to do something about it. I should have worked out it was there when others were saying they had put up pics but duh.

Yes I think Buddy was a cutie and Phoebe is too. Phoebe came to us 6 years ago when she was around 10yo as hew elderly owners were moving and couldn't take her. Nobody seemed to want an older dog so we took her in and she really has been a treasure. I have a funny story I will write about soon.

I now only have Lucky the brown horse as Lady was put down last year at age 29. Lucky is an ex pacer (harness) named Lucky Torrado who won a few races but had to be retired at age 6 so his owner gave him to me. He can be ridden but I can't at the moment because of my knees but plan to get back on him soon....I hope.

As mentioned in previous post....Phoebe Angel or Devil?

We adopted Phoebe at 10ys of age from an elderly couple who were moving into a nursing home and couldn't find her a home. The first week we had her she had a full exam at the vet and was spayed, dental surgery and her tear ducts flushed. She is a tiny little mini poodle only 4kg but I think inside her there is a pit bull hiding as she is so full on and brave for her size. (She is very protective of me).

Anyway after a year or so of good health she developed pancreatitis and had to be keft over night at the vets. She was fine the next morning and I went to pick her up and was told by the laughing reception staff of the events of the night before. The young lady vet on call had checked her at 9pm and all was well, at 1am she got an emergency call from the security to say an intruder was in the vet building and they and the police were on the way so would she meet them there to see what was missing or damaged. She arrived to flashing lights and alarms sounding and the security guards laughing so much that it took a while to find out that they had been met at the door by a tiny white fluff ball who wanted to play. She had managed to escape her cage, pushed through many swinging doors to the reception area and helped herself to some treats and toys from the dispay wall.

Phoebe was obviously feeling much better and I think they were glad to see her go home the next day. She was allowed to keep one of the toys she had "stolen" and we always got a smile when she had to go in for her routine vet visits. It was a big joke that she needed to be searched on the way out to see what she had helped herself to.

Ha! That's hilarious... you wouldn't think 4kg could cause so much trouble!! :) I guess they sure knew she was ready to go home.

It was fun to see you too! I always have a picture of online friends in my mind... not necessarily something I could describe but then I see the picture and it's either yes, that's just what I thought, or wow, I was way off. In your case, my mental image and the real you were pretty similar.

You all are unlikely to ever see a picture of me. I try always to stay behind the camera...

Sweet Phoebe passed away yesterday. She was a wonderful old girl and I will always remember her this way, as Jenny described for us:

Thanks Natalie,

Dear little Phoebe will always be remembered by me, especially because of some of her antics which I will share in time.
It really is the end of an era in our house with Phoebe being the last of the geriatrics to pass away. She was such a little thing but always made such a big impact.
