Myfat little 12 lb chi is having the lumps removed tomorrow afternoon. They aspirated the one under the skin. Any ideas as t why the lump has gone done about 50%? Is it because they aspirated it and it had fluid in it as well? We are still having it cut out though. Am going to pass on the teeth cleaning as it ill $100 more. Puma has no top front teeth Just can't see spending that on her at this time Have to be ready with a vet bill just in case Cleo gets obstructed again This time Cleo will be changed to Cleopatra via the operation.Damn these vet bills!!

When Puma awakes and comes home she will be in a state of shock!! Her Momma is putting her on a diet. Am going to the feed store and check out some low fat dry food. Any suggestions as to what brand to feed her.? The vet wanted me to put her on Hills script food RD. AM not crazy about the ingredients The first ingredient is corn. AT $50 a 30 lb bag they Hills could do better in ingredients. Need to get Baby Boys wings clipped tonight so I will look at the different foods there as well. The have Wellness,Evo,Origin etc.

Could be because they aspirated it, sounds like that could happen, would the lil hole then leak out fluid? did they put a pad or bandage on it, did that get wet, I never had this done, just guessing.

With the food they should have a low fat Cat food, I noticed with the stray cat I feed the ingredients in cat food follow suit like dog foods with all those other ingredients.

I hope all goes well tommorrow, and the wing clipping !

I feel yer pain. Looking at the ingredients list of SD Light I almost feel like I'm paying $50/bag for Ol' Roy.

But Lucy is thriving on it, so what do I know?;)

Her skin & coat look great, her energy is great, BG is regulated and her stools are solid. So I guess it has the stuff she needs.

his is I ended up buying Wellness Healthy Weight. Check out the link. I am starting out as 1/2 c 2 a day.Starting to feed like this as to keep her full. I guess I may as well feed the other 4 dogs in the morning as well The cost for $13 bag was $25. Ouch that hurt!!!! But she will not much THe Hills RD was $50 for 30 lbs.So the expense is the same but with better ingredients

Dolly .Puma is not a cat She is a dog( Ha )

I find myself calling the dogs the cats names and the cats the dogs names It must be old age!!

Puma did well at surgery The poor girl didn't have her surgery till around 9:30 am. Picked her up around 10 pm. God I am tired today. Work at 7 am Got up at 5:30 am!!

Puma ended up just having locals. She was a trooper they said Also they were able to look inside her mouth There was a rear tooth dangling A 3 root tooth. Dr Meyer pulled it Rob the vet tech said that most dogs wouldn't keep their mouth open let alone have a tooth pulled. Also they were able to pop some plaque off. She was given an antibiotic for 7 days and will have to be checked again in 2 weeks. She has dissolving stitches. They also saved the growths in some sort of liquid so that if they grow back then they can send it to pathology I asked if the lump underneath was a faty tumor Rob said no but the Dr meyer got excellent borders. Pretty big incision on her shoulder blade. Am glad that she is home. The ver clinic had called me at 8:30 to tell me that Puma wasn't operated on yet and not to worry that she would be next. I thought that was sweet. They didn't want me to worry.

Puma is doing great My god id the incision on her collar bone large They have to get good borders when they cut it out Used to that with my Boxer Kahlua and her mast cell. I have learned never to disregard any lumps and to have them aspirated and even then there is no guarantee it is not cancer Puma's was suspicious so I had the surgery immediately. It wasn't very expensive to do $100 including her antibiotic and tooth removal I guess it was because she was supposed to have a cocktail It the isoflurane that vets use to anethesize that is s expensive. The only problem I see with Puma is that she is trying to scratch the stitches I guess they are getting itchy Thanks for asking about my Puma!!.

It is tough to look at those incisions! When Chris' PDA was repaired at bout 9 months of age, he had an incision from the midline of his belly all the way up his side to above his front leg, lying just behind his front leg. It was HUGE! But you'd never know it from the way he acted! He was young so that helped.

Glad to hear Puma's doing well!

I'm glad the little one is ok. Abby gets her staples out tomorrow. She has a very fetching waistline since the surgery.
