  • Overdue thanks to our veteran members

I want to acknowledge all of the experienced people - vast experience, medium, experience, and recent new experience - for the many hours of experience, time, and emotional and physical energy that you are donating to this forum every day.

Over the past year or so, several other resources for people with diabetic dogs have closed up and I and several moderators have been drawn away by life changes that have made it difficult for us to spend as much time here as we would like. That has presented some challenges to the forum.

So many of you, who also have very very busy and stressful lives and no shortage of things to do, have stepped in regardless, devoting more time than ever and generously sharing your experiences.

It's a labor of love for all of us, but I never forget that it is a labor.

It's hard and emotionally draining work wedged into chance moments throughout the day and week and can bring with it a great deal of worry about the dogs and the people who love them.

This forum is a kind and gentle place - no small accomplishment these days.

That's because of the wonderful people here - all of you - who make it so special and supportive.

Thank you, with all my heart, for everything you do for diabetic dogs.

    Natalie

Gosh Natalie, thanks to you for hosting a place where we can all share our experiences, get bubbly-eyed when a beloved pet loses the battle, and gently encourage each other.

I love that this forum is a kind and gentle place. I know I've asked plenty of stupid questions but everyone has always been so kind while helping me keep from killing my girl.

      thank you

I so agree with you Natalie that this forum is a kind and gentle place.

I lost my Buddy over 3 years ago and I still come back periodically.

Had it not been for this forum, I would have lost Buddy a lot sooner.

        Thank you

Re: Overdue thanks to our veteran members

              Natalie,
I have been totally in awe of the dedication and expertise of the "veteran members" on this forum for a long time now. In many cases long after there own situation has been resolved, these members have checked in to offer encouragement, support and in most cases very practical assistance to anyone in need.

Thank you for setting this place up where immediately upon posting for even the first time, there is a warm welcome and tons of support available for the asking. And thanks for acknowledging those members who seem to never get tired of offering their help and support to others.

One thing I know for sure is that Sadie and I wouldn't still be together without this forum and for that I am eternally grateful!

              Thanks to one and all!
