Insulin Auto Inject tools

Wondering if anyone has recent experience with jet injector (like zoepetjet)vs. needle? We're considering the zoepetjet- but so far can only find info on it from manufacturer website but have not been able to find any user reviews. Sounds really positive per the website--but again I'd like some independent feedback.

Our quick background: we're newly diagnosed (mid-Jan) JRTerrier and we're increasigly getting worse with needle injections. Just got the inject-ease but have not used it yet because during my initial trials I can see the needle/syringe moving when I depress syringe plunger and I'm concerned this may be even more painful than w/o device (or maybe my device is defective?). Thanks.

Re: jet injector--seeking any user feedback

A couple of people have used the InjectEase with success. Not sure if anyone has used a jet injector.

To be honest, I hadn't heard of the ZoePetJet. I had to look it up.
http://zoepetjet.com/faqs.htm
It does say insulin absorption can increase with its use. Something to watch for.

The injection sites are interestingly different as well http://zoepetjet.com/images/injectionsites.gif

And this is the dosage guideline http://zoepetjet.com/images/dosagechart.gif It might make fine tuning doses a bit more difficult in the same way insulin pens aren't able to make small 1/4 to 1/2 unit adjustments.

This is an interesting article on why Jet injectors haven't caught on in humans though they've been around since the late '70s: http://www.articlesbase.com/diseases...n-4278656.html

If you decide to try it, please do let us know how it goes. We've had a handful of owners use the Inject-Ease as Natalie said and one that used an Auto-inject with good results.

I wonder if you need to use it on bare skin? Didn't see that in the information...should go look again.

I did go look...didn't say. Interesting product tho.
