Insulin adjustments should only be done based on complete curves

Urination without drinking water may not be caused by high sugar because you should see both . Puss could point to a uterus...

You can test for ketones at home so you can check if its a problem or not . I dont place to much on just one test

If blood sugar is high there wont be any amount of food that will subdue hunger as food is not processed very well into the body with high sugar

My jesse was diagnosed with a uterus infection and thats what they said that was making her sick so she had emergency surgery ( basically spaying her ) not realizing she was DKA and had pancreatitis...

force feeding more food for weight gain usually never works for newly diabetic dogs . Blood sugar needs to be under control to be able for the body to process food to metabolize it into the body ....

From what i suggested on other posts there are maybe 2 other human insulin's that have a decent track record for dogs . That would be NPH and levemir . Now for levimer its usually better if your dog...
