Just to let you know that after 12 years and 10 mnth Cara has earned her wings last nite.
It was not the diabetes, just old age. But that did not make it any easier.

Yes, the goal is between 100 - 200....as I have to recalculate the Canadian mmol to the American mg there might be few points or so difference. On her last curve she is not yet in that range and...

We are staying for a while at this level. Had her tighter on Caninsulin (90 - 198), but that was then and this is now! Besides...she is getting enough of all the testing....she needs a rest!!

Yes, we are both very happy with these #'s:D:D!! Drinking is back to normal and Cara is herself again! Even playing with her buddy!!! It's nice to see a turn around like this, after 15 days on NPH!

Hi everybody!

Update on Cara...we're doing a lot better:D....She is now on 10 units in AM and 9 PM (had this problem with Caninsulin too in the beginning)
Today:

5.25 AM 226 fasting

Claire, my rescue, injured her cruciate ligament in knee about 2 mnths ago. She was put on Metacam and no jumping no stairs. Within 10 days she was walking normal again.

I agree with the others.....taking Kirby to the hospital and leaving him there was the right thing to do. A lot of the dogs on this board started out the same way, incl mine!...
