Re: Okay, no more suffering/rejoicing silently!

Natalie,

Yes, he always goes left, but he doesn't show any neurological symptoms. Balance is fine, no staggering, no nausea or vomiting. He actually can easily walk in a straight line if we...

Re: Okay, no more suffering/rejoicing silently!

It's nice to hear your updates! Foster's doing OK. His blood sugar's under decent control. His curve's not flat, but he's not having really high spikes (last we checked). It was right around the...

Re: Adjusting to blindness?

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. We're still confining him to a smaller area of the house for a bit. I'm sure it'll all work itself out in due time. Foster's always had free access to...

Adjusting to blindness?

I'm pretty sure Foster is completely blind now because he's having a pretty bad day. He's lost in the house, lost in the yard, barking at the windows, not finding his doggy door... He's being very...

Re: New & need diet advice :)

Thanks, k9diabetes, for the advice. Yes, we're definitely going to increase his insulin tomorrow.

LIU is "lens induced uveitis," an inflammation in the eye caused by cataracts. I'm told it can...

Re: New & need diet advice :)
