Re: Nima's crazy journey

Tomorrow we are reducing his Kcal intake to 1000Kcal, what he needs to eat to get to 75 lbs. I am going to do a random blood sugar at about 1200, when the NPH starts to peak. I'll do another curve...

Re: Nima's crazy journey

Yes it's hard to get a good idea of what is going on when he is in the "need to gain weight mode". Before the NPH he wouldn't eat at all it was really bad (this was right before he went into DKA)....

Re: Nima's crazy journey

Amydunn19,

I agree, it won't really be beneficial but it will be interesting. I am definitely going to do a repeat curve once the antibiotics are finished. The good thing is by the time the...

Re: Nima's crazy journey

Thank you so much for your insight, I had no idea that she was actually going a bit fast. I guess I am thinking with my human RN brain a lot and I feel like we're moving too slowly.

Auddog,

I have tested him at home for quite sometime, though I'm not sure how accurate the numbers were. He has always been in the 200-300s at home, but at the vet he's in the 300-400s. The Alpha...
