Re: What body part do you take blood from your dog ?

Yes, I was using 21 gage and even that wasn't working well. The vet tech uses 22 and she said she had a hard time with that too.

Re: What body part do you take blood from your dog ?

I have had the hardest time too getting blood! My dog doesn't seem to want to bleed which I guess is good. Right now I have been able to brush a part of her gum vigorously to get blood. I use a...

Unhappy Re: I'm new here and new to diabetes

It was a bad night. Daisy was high all day and 278 before I fed her. She's normally 130 at this time. I think she went way high after eating and her eyes got puffy. Then 3 hours later, she...

Re: I'm new here and new to diabetes

Re: I'm new here and new to diabetes

I just checked her 2 hours after eating with the new homemade food and she still spiked up to 328, same as before on the commercial diet. :( Any suggestions to lessen the food spike?
