some dogs on the forum who had thyroid problems would initially react well to a dose change and then boom. Have you had a full blood panel run recently?

It's easy to freak out over lower #'s when you are used to seeing 400's and 600's but as long as they don't drop any lower, this is kind of where you want to be.

we used the one touch ultra. it requires a little more blood than some other meters do but you can find strips on ebay a little cheaper than buying in the store.

even though it wasn't a pet meter....

you are in such a tough boat. We have seen some dogs recover from the back leg weakness but it wasn't done quickly

He must feel so rotten to not want to eat :(

that is so encouraging! they are really smart when it comes to pills. My dog was small so we were able to give her everything in a liquid form

Some people have had good luck giving their dogs B-12...

This is totally manageable. The fact that they got him down to 350 is excellent. Dont worry about Cushing right now. Lets judt focus on his diabetes. Walmart sells NOH insulin for $25 per bottle....
