I understand your frustration . Jesse was similar her first year . She was on vetsulin for maybe 3 weeks and then she went to nph . She would drop like a rock and bounce back up all in a few hours ....

what you are getting is a past look at what blood sugar was...

Well dogs in general dont have good sight to begin with . You can google how dogs see the world . If it is a slower process the dog has probably adapted to the new reality . Dogs dont see the world...

I have gave jesse a homemade meal her entire diabetic life . I added supplements but i removed them for the most part except calcium from grind up egg shells and i have been giving her milk thistle...

Jesse uses the prodigy auto code but i have used a bunch of human meters and they all seemed to run about the same numbers except for the true trak and that meter only had problems at higher...

Well jesse has been using a discount human meter for over 9 years and i believe it is consistent not getting wildly different numbers back to back . I dont think you can say the meter is not working...

Insulin adjustments should only be done based on complete curves

Urination without drinking water may not be caused by high sugar because you should see both . Puss could point to a uterus...

You can test for ketones at home so you can check if its a problem or not . I dont place to much on just one test
