Re: Revised: How long has your dog lived with Diabetes?

Lily was dx days after her 3rd birthday. She is 7 1/2 now. She still acts like a pup and her diabetes hasn't slowed her down at all. I had an awful vet at dx and was told she'd only have 2 years...

Re: Spirit-Newfoundland

In all my stays at Disney we've never been to Fort Wilderness. We've stayed at Wilderness Lodge a few times, but we've always been in such a mad rush to get to the parks that we haven't taken time...

Re: Spirit-Newfoundland

Jim, you're doing great! The first couple of months are scary and you have every right to freak out a bit!! It takes a while to figure out what works for your dog and that road isn't always smooth....

Re: Spirit-Newfoundland

How much did you give Spirit this morning? Did he get that 75 on 12 or 14 units? And why did you give 12 units last night? Looks like it was a good thing you did!

I would think with a bigger...

Re: Spirit-Newfoundland

Re: Spirit-Newfoundland

I have to agree, those numbers look great! I wouldn't be too eager to up the dose either even if your curve holds out. First you have to look at your lowest reading of the day and decide if you are...

Re: New to forum, looking for suggestions

His evening fast would be much lower without that snack. I used to have to feed Lily an afternoon snack when the kids were younger. They'd get home from school and she'd drop like a rock playing...
