Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

I looked through the CBC one of the vets did and it doesn't look like they included the T4 test or anything thyroid-related. I looked at the bill from the other vet and it doesn't look like they did...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

Okay, we will move up to 15 later this week. I donít want to do more than one unit at a time because she doesnít seem to react well to the changes. It took like two weeks for her numbers to stabilize...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

Doesnít a 16 units starting dose seem high, especially since she was in rebound at 20 units? Iím a bit confused. Iíve been reading some journal articles about Vetsulin and NPH use in dogs and all of...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

We did another curve yesterday and got:

445
453
527
523
451
458

The spot checks we did during the week were all super high too. Wondering if she maybe is experiencing a honey moon and...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

I think we will keep her at 14 for a few more days and do another curve this weekend before making a decision about her dose. She just might not have good reaction to changes in dose. If she skips...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

We decided to split the increase and went up 1.5 units to 14 units. We’ve been testing more during the day, but have not seen any low numbers. We have seen a big increase in high numbers. She hadn’t...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

I was able to get some by driving to PA but they still would only sell one box at a time so we will have to figure something else out. And they didnít have many kinds, had to get the short needle...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

As far as the syringes go, I canít seem to find the ReliOn ones. I asked the pharmacist and they only sell them open box, either by singles or in tens and theyíre very expensive like that. The...

Hi all,

Weíve been on 11 units twice daily for around 10 days now and we just finished another curve today. Actual numbers havenít changed much but the S-shape of the last curve is replaced by a...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues

We did a glucose curve today and her results were:
441
356
549
518
467
388

It looks rather suspicious when plotted out. Readings were taken every two hours, starting at 7 AM and ending at 5...

Re: Newly Diagnosed, having issues
