Looking good. Let her body adjust to the current dose for at least 5 -7 days before you even think about adjusting the dose. Tiny dogs like Snowball can sometimes take a couple weeks to adjust. When you think about it, a .5 unit increase can be quite a big deal for a small dog. They really need time to adjust.

I agree with mike . You maybe seeing some stability in blood sugar and you dont want to loose that . I might give 2 weeks and reevaluate on dose adjustments higher

also quarter unit adjustments maybe a better approach . I understand it maybe difficult to do but once done it fairly easy

Glad snowball is doing better be patient

221 at 945am. She is doing okay, but she is a bit lazy right now. at 745 she was up and about, now she is just sitting. Not like before when she was lying on her side with her legs sticking out like she was dead, but she isn't coming to whatever room we are in when called.

I like the idea of quarter unit adjustments from this point on. Going from 2.5 units to 3 units was about a 20% increase in insulin. My dog weighs 62lbs and is well regulated at 16 units. If I were to increase her 20% to 19 units, she would be seriously overdosed.
