Default Re: Lily - My English Setter

After three years of eating Merrick Grain Free Healthy Weight, I think Lily’s loosing interest. She’s been pushing her bowl around and trying to bury her food more frequently, but always comes back to finish eating within a half hour.

So I decided to switch things up and go with a new diet... Nulo Adult Trim Cod & Lentils Recipe.

It has the same calories per cup as the Merrick, a different protein source in the cod, but less fat and more fiber.

This was her first day on the full switch over and she quickly ate each meal. I think she likes the light cod smell

Her fasting BG tonight was 155. I’ll be testing more frequently for a while and do a curve in a few days to see if any BG trends have changed. I haven’t changed her insulin dose.

Lily is a 62 lb English Setter, born 07-27-2007.
Diabetes: Aug 2013 - Hypothyroidism: Dec 2013 - Cataract Surgery: Feb 2014
Insulin: Novolin R/N mix - Meter: ReliOn Prime
Nulo Adult Trim Cod & Lentils, Pumpkin, FortiFlora, Dasuquin, Thyroxine
