Switched him to a grainfree

jesse ate the kibble healthy weight and wilderness a couple years ago it appeared anything kibble was problematic for jesse do to how long it took her to digest it never smelled anything unusual maybe stools weren't great at the time but i blame her body for that. i ended up going permanently homemade because i had full control of the ingredients and jesse enjoyed it dont know if it was the best way to go but she has done well
i have a holistic dog pharmacy for jesse i asked why they didnt carry BB they said they believe the product was good but they would not tell the pharmacy where and how its was made which is a requirement to sell a product with them
i believe there are some members feeding BB on the forum and wonder if they are seeing any problems with the product. it appeared that they had fairly good regulation and it was recommended that's why we gave it a try a few years back
now i realize the company is trying to grow which can become problematic when profits become more important than quality hope this is not the case
there seems to be an epidemic on recalled products lately not sure why maybe the technology is better at catching or identifying it that wasn't there in the past and mostly with the internet identifying a problem through reviews

I have switched Blacjack over to the Blue Buffalo Healthy Weight Managment Chicken about four or five months ago, I think. I think he has had an improvement in BG control with the food and definitely has had no issues with loose stool or diahrrhea since the change. I assumed that this was because of the lower fat/higher fiber content of the food.

Annie has been on mostly BB Healthy Weight for 2-3 years. Then again she will eat anything (remember her snacking on the sweet Cockatiel bird treats last year?).
All of her kibble looked OK. Wonder if some of the problem kibble was "old stock" or improperly stored? I think I could understand a higher protein kibble going "bad" if stored in a humid location. Don't know.

Annie was an 18 pound Lhasa Apso that crossed the rainbow bridge on 10-5-17. She was nearly 17 years old and diabetic for 9½ years.
I just started to feed my non-diabetic, Newman the Blue Buffalo Basics - He began vomiting again but i would not have thought it was the food. I switched him back to his old food and he's better now....so while I have no proof, I'n not taking any chances. They can't tell you what's wrong! So, I'm going to err on the side of caution.
Wow thanks Sandy. Mini's been fine with her Blue Buffalo but I won't be taking the risk going further. Might as well switch her to Merrick dry to go along with her Turducken - or maybe Fromm, I've heard good things about them.
They didn't have a recent recall that I know of. I posted this originally due to the complaints to Consumer Affairs at the beginning of March. Frankly, I hope BB is checking into these as there are many with the exact same symptoms!!
