I've never brushed my dog's teeth before because I used to give her Denta stix all the time. Now that she doesn't get any commercial treats anymore, I thought I might try brushing her teeth. I bought a dog toothpaste but read the ingredients after I got it and there are a few that sound sugary to me.
Does anyone know if these ingredients are all right to use on a diabetic dog?
Sorbitol, glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Saccharin and the worst sounding of all but at least it's listed last is Glucose Oxidase.
The toothpaste is Nutri-Vet Enzymatic toothpaste.
I also bought some Dr. George's Plaque Blast but haven't used it yet either.
Just not sure what to do.
