Default Re: Diabetes and Blindness! Did your dog go blind?!

My maltipoo was diagnosed Feb. 2017, and so far so good. Has a small cataract in one eye that is stable.

I add foods that are high in betacarotene and other good eye nutrients. Sweet potato, wild blueberries, green beans, pumpkin.

I only add about a tablespoon of 2 of those at each meal. Breakfast he gets sweet potato or pumpkin, and a tblsp. of his pinto beans/oatmeal (for extra fibre.) Supper he gets blueberries and beans/oatmeal.
He's regulated accounting for that in his diet.
