    Since recovering from all of her skin infections, Lily's insulin dose has dropped down quite a bit. Her BG levels are holding steady in the 100s and 200s with a mix of 3 units Novolin R and 13 units Novolin N. This is down from 4 units R and 16 units N.

    Even though she has that "sad setter" look here, she is feeling way better

      Happy to see Lily's "back in the saddle". Great job!

        jesses dose has been reduced also

        it shows how important testing blood sugar is

        glad things are back on track
        Jesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .

          Lily continues doing well after her horrible bout with sarcoptic mange this past winter. She is now getting monthly applications of Revolution to prevent future problems.

          Here she is visiting down the street with her best friends Maisy and Carly. The Three Amigos...

                Such a beautiful baby!!
                Daisy 12 1/2 y/o 20lb Mini Schnauzer - 115g chicken breast, 45g chana dal, 55g green beans all chopped in a food processor, 20g Hills Perfect Weight, 1 tbs pumpkin, 8 units Novolin N q12h. Other meds-1/4t d-mannose twice daily, 1 Proviable DC daily, 1 multivitamin, 1/4t ground eggshells each meal, 1200mcg methyl B12 daily, 5mg zyrtec daily

                  Lily is like a supermodel with her fabulous supermodel friends. All beauties!

                    Some sad news today. Our son's dog and Lily's non-diabetic brother, Cowboy, was put to sleep today after a brief struggle with cancer.

                    Cowboy was a wonderful and gentle soul. We will miss him and he will be in our hearts forever.

                                I remember seeing pictures of Cowboy, I'm so sorry
                                Jenny: 6/6/2000 - 11/10/2014 She lived with diabetes and cushings for 3 1/2 years. She was one of a kind and we miss her.
