    Re Traveling

I think you'll feel better about taking the pre-filled syringe or syringes with you, rather than the whole vial. You might want to fill a syringe or two tonight, but you'll need to store them in the fridge with the capped needle side facing up so there's no chance of the insulin crystals clogging the needle. I think placing them in a glass in the fridge would be fine, as long as you keep them away from any of the areas like the coils so there's no chance of the insulin freezing.

When you're close to leaving home, then just grab them from the fridge.

You do need to re-suspend the insulin in the syringe just like you need to do it when you're getting it from the vial. You can roll it in your hands just as you do the vial, but you won't need to roll it as long because there's only a syringe of it. You roll your vial until it's evenly cloudy and you'd do the same with the syringe.

    HTH!
