i have not heard of any problems with vaccinations and blood sugar .if its a concern you maybe able to test if the past shots are providing enough antibodies some have done that .
for my jesse i elected not to give anymore vaccines because she has other challenges which i thought could be problematic in her case

My vet held off with Riley's vaccinations this summer because he wasn't well regulated. He's getting the booster he needed this month.
I think she told me that some vaccines can affect BG, but only for a few days. As we know, some vaccines can make a dog lethargic or a bit nauseous, etc., so she didn't want to throw anything else into the mix. It was the kennel cough vaccine he was due for. Other vaccinations he was still good for another year. I guess follow your vet's advice.

When I asked my vet if the rabies vaccine would affect my dog's BG she told me that if my dog had not had an adverse reaction to the shot in the past I should not have a problem.
However, immediately after my dog was vaccinated she started having very erratic numbers. Both her highs and lows were amplified and the timing of these peaks and valleys varied almost daily. I tried a variety of "fixes" but still a lot of weird numbers. After 3 months everything settled down and she was back to normal. The shaped of her curve was changed but the dosage ended up being the same as before the whole episode began. I have no way of knowing if the vaccine caused this. We also traveled out of town with Snickers about the time this happened and the weather made an abrupt shift. She's also just old. We only have to do rabies every 3 years here so she will probably not get another booster so I guess it doesn't matter if the vaccine was the problem or not.
