Thanks for the tips on the food and disposal, I will inquire with Waste Management about this, you brought up something very interesting I was going to eventually ask. You mentioned your pup Hank has been between 100 and 500 on a daily basis and is doing fine. Are you saying that trying to achieve the 100-250 levels are not that critical? I got the impression after reading various articles and the doctor wanting to quickly put him on IV again that dogs who are normally higher than 250mg/dl are prone to ketones and ketoacidosis which requires an IV and can cause long term health issues?
Craig, I hope Cooper is acclimating to having the insulin, only time will tell but as Shellie mentioned above with Hank, how critical is the regulated BG level which is considered normal?
