15 week old puppy confirmed to have rabies

The pup was reported to be transported from Georgia and then adopted at 9 weeks from a NY shelter to a family in VT. Put to sleep at 15 weeks for declining health. Tested positive for rabies upon autopsy.

I wonder how a dog that young got exposed?

Jenny: 6/6/2000 - 11/10/2014 She lived with diabetes and cushings for 3 1/2 years. She was one of a kind and we miss her.

So sad.

Mel: My monster is Vinny! He's a black lab, diagnosed with diabetes June 21, 2013. His birthdate was celebrated the last weekend of May. He left this world on July 27, 2018, he was 12 years old.
