    BD sells a 31-gauge needled syringe with half unit marks. And Walmart sells a similar syringe under the Relion name. The following link is from www.hocks.com, a good source for diabetes-related supplies.

    These syringes only come in a short needle (not sure why). But we used them with out 60 pound dog and loved them.

    Here are the labels on the full unit marks for the BD Ultrafine II syringes, 0.3cc holding 30 units with 31 gauge short needles. the half unit marks are lines on the other side (currently rolled under in this image).

    This particular syringe is from BD.



    In this case, each hash mark is 1 unit. Filling to "5" gives 5 units.

    Unfortunately, you can't see the half unit marks and the labeling of the marks in one image.
