Mel: My monster is Vinny! He's a black lab, diagnosed with diabetes June 21, 2013. His birthdate was celebrated the last weekend of May. He left this world on July 27, 2018, he was 12 years old. -

LOL. you are the best dog mom ever! I only have 1 diabetic dog and the routine is getting longer and longer each week too.Jenny: 6/6/2000 - 11/10/2014 She lived with diabetes and cushings for 3 1/2 years. She was one of a kind and we miss her.Comment

keep it up tami you are truly an inspiration of that can do spiritJesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .

With those patients you definitely have enough patience!Laura & Charlie 29 lb male lhasapoo diagnosed October 2013. 16ish units of Novolin N. 1 & 1/3 cup of Natural Balance Fat Dog twice a day. So is the morning routine considered part of your cardio work out or is it the strength training part of it? LOL!
The fact that it's all 'routine' really shows the strength of the bond between human and animal - the girls are just as lucky to have you as you are to have them. WHEW, ... you're a great mom for your girls, Tami. I don't have a doubt God's gonna hve a special spot reserved for you and your girls.
Most outside of these forums would think many of us crazy because of the extremes we go to for our pups to have a nice life, in spite of the limitations imposed by their diabetes.
We just expect it. ... Why??? Our pups are "family", and are entitled to all of the associated benefits and loyalties.
