  • Re: Tiggy, a work in progress!

I usually just let that sort of mishap wash out on its own so would have given the usual meal and dose of insulin. You get high blood sugar for maybe 12 hours or so - not the end of the world.

Alfie finally has some company in the mining for junk food category!

Well after my little panic attack, and Tiggy wondering why she's getting so much "good stuff" all of a sudden, we survived the night. Haha. My little scavenger for junk food came out with just a nasty case of diarrhea which I'm assuming is from the chocolate 200 BG this morning.. Life is good!
      Thanks all!

I think Sandy is our greatest PollyAnna on the forum - I hope I'm a very close second.

I do think being a PollyAnna (looking at the bright side of absolutely everything) is one of the greatest aids we can rely on - to help ourselves, and to help our dogs. Any dogs, not just diabetic dogs.

My vet, a specialist in Internal Medicine who keeps up in her field, but also, loves working every day with local animal companions, and so chose to act as a regular vet, has a really good attitude about all this. She also works on the PollyAnna premise, and I think that relieves possible stresses for us, which in turn relieves them for our dogs.

Then we can get through a few bad moments, looking forward to the improvement to come, seems to me!

Sandy, maybe I need to make a PollyAnna medal! Anyway, you're a fabulous influence on the forum. Thanks.

Dear Sandy and Tiggy, you are both such an inspiration. I watched your shot video over and over trying to gather courage and wisdom and never dreaming that some day it would be much easier for Harley and I. Keep up the great work and know that you will be having prayers and wonderful thoughts coming your way. Give Tiggy a special hug from me and Harley today. You are both so special!! Way to go Tiggy!!
