    Re: 2011 AAHA Vaccination Guidelines

    Hi Mandy,

In our case, it was about $20-$30 difference, titering was more. Strange, isn't it, that Titer would cost more than the vaccine themselves?

I can't find the more recent invoice but in '08 it was $79 which seems high to me. A bulk of the cost may have been where they sent it and the shipping fee.

Ali was vac for distemper/parvo as a pup and always showed the appropriate level of antibodies for the rest of her life. I never re-vaccinated for these.

Here's another article from the Whole Dog Journal from 2010 http://www.whole-dog-journal.com/iss...s_20036-1.html

        Patty,

My cost was $80.00 for the titering, so perhaps your $79.00 was not out of range.

Wow, seems a bit expensive. I wonder if it's something they can do as part of the CBC, or if they would still charge separately for it? I'll have to ask the vet the next time we bring Dakota in.
