Barb,
It's still hard to believe Abby is gone and that a full year has passed already.

Love how you honor her memory in those beautiful words and philosophies. May what she taught you over the years help her memory live on with you forever. Happy 2015 to you and yours.

I always feel I'm at a loss for words to convey just how sad I am for those who have suffered such a loss like losing Abby. Sometimes words aren't enough, but know that I am so sorry. I will pray for comfort and peace for you and yours.

Wow - a whole year. I don't even know what to say. I do hope that your wonderful memories are now outweighing the sadness of missing her.

Thinking of you...

What a wonderful girl she was. I loved that she refused to walk in and out of a cul-de-sac. I am the same way ,what is the point? Thinking of you Barb and Abby always

Jj....lol, yes she did. Would not fetch anymore than 2 x. What is the point, if you are going to keep throwing it. She lived life on her terms, and we were lucky she picked us for her home.

Thank you everyone. I suppose the first year is the hardest, everything is a first without them. I do remember the happy times, but more than ever I remember the sweetness that comes with age.

Happy New Year.
Barb

Just catching up Barb as we've been traveling...
I love the quote. So hard to believe it's been a year. Time marches on so quickly sometimes. Abby was a very special girl, indeed!

I am not sure this time of year will ever go by when i would feel what I felt two years ago. The agony of when you know the end of time is near, but do not truly want to accept it. You want to hold on until the last possible moment, because losing them is unbearable. All the pain and sorrow of the loss.

It will be two years that we lost our Abby, and now that the sorrow is less, I carry with me less sorrow, and more the joy that she gave to our lives. She made me realize to savior everyday...life is way too short, especially for our pups. Enjoy the moment, live for the day.

She also made me realize that a dog fills something in my life, that I can not live without. She also made me to be much more of an advocate for those that do not have voices, only barks.

I will always carry her with the most special memories. I know that where she is, she is catching many rabbits, finally caught that elusive squirrel, will not walk in cul de sacs, and have all the folks know where her treats are kept.

She was a very special girl. I can't believe it's been 2 years either. I love that all of your neighbors loved her so much too.

hugs, Judi
