Re: Josie the Cocker
No, the itch is pretty much ALL OVER, the worst spots being the common "hot spot" in front of her tail on her hind quarters. And she scratches a lot on her legs/feet.
She's got the spot on her "lower back" nearly rubbed bare. It's very hard to watch....
I'm hopeful that the few fleas I saw are the lions share of her misery. Fleas are pretty easy, compared to allergies.
It's sooOoOooo late in the year to be worried about fleas in our neck of the woods, but it is what it is.
I've taken Benedryl 1 (one!) time in my life. It cost me a graduate level course in school law.
Just before the 3rd session (night class) I got the hives for only the 2nd time in my life (45+ years at that time). I took a Benedryl and then proceeded poste haste to make a TOTAL fool out of myself nodding off on the front row of the classroom. HUMILIATING! The prof said something to me as I recall, but I was too drowsy to remember much of what she said.
I dropped the course the next day, and also eventually dropped out of the Masters Program in School Admin because of it. That particular PHD was head of the department.
At least Josie isn't seeking a masters degree. She can't spell worth a hoot.
