need some help
Maggie is beginning a pattern with numbers but what number do you have to worry about being too low? She was 110 yesterday morning and it kind of scared me so I gave her a little more food to keep her from going too low. That scares me more now than too high. I also wonder if there are foods to keep her more regular that won't raise her sugar?
I know fiber is the answer but what doesn't affect the sugar. Thanks for any help anyone can give. I have dealt with my mother's diabetes for some years but scarier with Maggie.
Her averages are coming down into low 200's which is good I think, but getting into the 100's is new territory. We started in the high 600's.
Also this might help someone.(hope so). I use an app called med helper for Maggie.
You can use the notes part to keep track of sugar numbers every day, how many units, what you are feeding, how much water etc.... Anything you want to keep track of. I used this for my mom when she was still at home. It is in Google and free. There are other sections to keep track of meds and appointments as well.
