i am running 2 humidifiers to keep the furnace heat from drying out the air too much.
with this cold its hard to stay warm.

getting a portable humidifier will help. set it up close...

i pricked his upper lip, a good blood supply, then slipped in the glucose strips.

you.ll get higher and lower number readings with the sensor. its good to recheck any numbers in question with a back up handheld glucose meter.

8 units seems alot for 17 lbs. a starting dose would be 4 units.

were curves done each week ? can you post recent curve just to see how you got up to 8units

remember your using a longer lasting insulin suppise to be injected same amount twice a day. its not a fast acting R insulin where you can change the amount.

please stop changing the insulin! its not helping him.

if he did well on 4 units stick with 4 units twice a day...

yes its very important to wait 7 days when u make any changes. you cant change Odies insulin amount everyday. even foid changes u need to wait.

after 7 days do a curve, Then make changes...
